The FlexBox HP 40 completes its new lineup of riders for the next season with the addition of Jorge Navarro who joins the already announced signing of Arón Canet.
Navarro, 25, from Pobla de Vallbona, Valencia, is contesting his fifth season in Moto2 as one of the fastest riders in the category. In his sporting career, Navarro fought for the Moto3 World Championship in the 2016 season before making the jump to the intermediate category and three years later he was already fighting for the Moto2 title, finishing fourth. In his record, he has 18 podiums, 9 of them in Moto2 and 9 more in Moto3, and 2 victories in the World Championship.
In the 2022 season, together with Pons Racing, Navarro will have at his disposal the necessary tools to fight for the Moto2 World Championship from the start.
Sito Pons, main team
"Being able to announce the signing of a rider like Jorge Navarro makes us very happy. Jorge is a rider we have followed for years and we know well as he has always been a tough opponent we have faced. We signed a fast rider, with talent and who already knows what it is to win and get on the podium in a category as complicated as Moto2, so we believe that he has the necessary degree of maturity so that, together with the work of our technical team, he can fight from the start of the season by victories and the championship. We are very satisfied with the duo of riders for next season and I am sure we will enjoy many successes. Again, all this is possible thanks to the support of our sponsors, whom I want to thank for his confidence in the team and the sporting project ".
"I am very happy to join Pons Racing next year. I want to thank Sito Pons and all his technical team for the trust. I am sure that together we can do a great job and fight for the world championship which is our main goal. I am looking forward to starting our adventure together ".
