After the forced winter break, the FlexBox HP 40 has returned to action with two private test days at the always spectacular Portimão track in Portugal.
This first contact has helped the two pupils of Sito Pons, Garzó and Manzi, get the sensations again on their competition bikes. Far from looking for a fast time, the balance is very positive for both. Garzó has focused on testing new components on his Kalex and Manzi, who arrived a little injured, has continued to get to know and engage with his new technical team and motorbike.
The next test for the FlexBox HP 40 will be in Qatar on the 19th, 20th and 21st, prior to the first grand prix of the season, which will be held the following week, on the 26th, 27th and 28th.
Héctor Garzó, 40, rider FlexBox HP 40
"Two days of testing, riding non-stop. We have focused on getting the sensations on the bike, while we have tried many new components. The goal is to get used to the bike again and arrive as well prepared as possible in Qatar. The conditions here in Portugal have not been the best but I am leaving satisfied and with a good taste in my mouth. Good work and I really want to arrive to Qatar."
Stefano Manzi, 62, rider FlexBox HP 40
"It has been two very important test days to get back on the racing bike and continue to meet and work together with my new team. Despite not arriving in Portugal in the best conditions after an incident training this past Saturday, I am happy for how I have felt. Now the goal is to recover to arrive to Qatar well."
