Difficult Sunday for the FlexBox HP 40 of Sito Pons and his riders Héctor Garzó and Lorenzo Baldassarri.
Garzó, who started from the twenty-second position, went into the race confident of coming back after a good warm up. A touch at the start with another rider made him lose positions but far from being discouraged, he started his particular comeback, passing up to 14 riders to finish crossing the finish line in thirteenth position and with good feelings. Without a doubt, a good way to end the weekend.
Worst race has had his teammate, Lorenzo Baldassarri. Throughout the weekend, the Italian has not found his rhythm at any time due to the serious grip problems he has with his bike. And in the race they have been repeated, but still he could be fighting for the points until he went to the ground in the last lap. Rider and team will continue working to find the solution in the next races.
Héctor Garzó, 13th, +19.017
"Today the race went well. In the morning we made a change and the bike worked much better and we confirmed it in the race. At the start I had an incident with another rider and the first lap I passed the 27th. That having come back to 13 is not bad at all. Thanks once again to the team, Sito and the sponsors for their support and looking forward to Le Mans now."
Lorenzo Baldassarri, crash.
"A very complicated weekend, in a critical situation with a lack of grip on the rear wheel. All the riders have the same problem but I am not able to ride as I want. At no time do I have the feeling of being able to push, from the entrance of the curve to exit. My goal is to race to win races and being in this situation I do not like and it isn't where we should be. We will continue working to find the solution."
