The riders of the Moto2 intermediate category have riden three days of testing in the Qatar circuit before starting the first official grand prix of the season, also on the Qatari track of Losail.
Baldassari and Garzó faced this second official test with great desire after the last test in the Circuit of Jerez.
Baldassarri has dedicated a large part of the tests to focus on working on the rhythm, with used tires, and the result is positive. Not so much in one lap, in which they have encountered some problems, but that the FlexBox HP 40 rider hopes to solve during the next weekend. Finishes twelfth in the combined times, with a better record of 1:59.129.
Good start in Qatar for his teammate, Héctor Garzó. The Spanish FlexBox HP 40 rider was visiting the Qatari circuit for the first time. The main objective of the work plan was to know the track and improve on each track exit. And so it has been, Garzó has set a very good lap time and has also set a very constant pace. He has stopped the stopwatch at 1:59.545, which serves to finish nineteenth and dismiss the test with good feelings.
The FlexBox HP 40 will return to action next Friday, March 6 with the dispute of the first grand prix of the season in Losail, Qatar.
Lorenzo Baldassarri, 12th, 1:51.129 (+0.609)
"I really want to start the season, the races, which is what I like most. During the tests we worked hard and well, although the balance is not quite as I expected. We have found good things and others that have not just like it, and we need a bit in the time attack lap. I trust the team, we are working well and I am sure that we will get it in the first race. I am looking forward to it coming Friday and going on track."
Héctor Garzó, 19º, 1:51.545 (+1.025)
"I am happy after these three days of testing. We have worked from less to more and learning the circuit, which is my first time in Qatar. I am increasingly understanding the category, the tires working, how to work inside the box, etc. I am happy with the time achieved in the combined three days. I am looking forward to next weekend and start the season. Thanks to the team for the good work once again."
