Positive premiere of the new colors of the FlexBox HP 40 for this season in the Circuit of Jerez, where the riders of the Moto2 category have been cited in the first IRTA training.
The pupils of Sito Pons, Lorenzo Baldassarri and Héctor Garzó, positively value this first contact with the new season and say goodbye to the test.
Baldassarri, who faces the third season in the FlexBox HP 40, has focused on finding the working method with his new technical team, led by Alfred Willeke. The sensations have been very good, being fast and constant in the times. At the end of the three days, Baldassarri has set a better stopwatch of 1:41.137, placing fourteenth overall.
On the other side of the box, premiere as official rider of the team Héctor Garzó. The Spanish rider is in the process of adapting to the Kalex, a new motorcycle for him and the team. Far from focusing on looking for a quick lap, they have spent three days getting to know each other and working on the pace of the race. Together they are on the right line and coupled to get to the next more prepared Qatar test. Garzó has stopped the clock at 1:41.793, finishing twenty-fourth.
The FlexBox HP 40 sets sail for Qatar to take part in the last test day, on February 28 and 29 and March 1.
Lorenzo Baldassarri, 14th, 1:41,137 (+0,811)
"We have finished these three days of testing with good feelings. Soon the season begins and we are already in the line of work that we want with the new team. It has been a positive test, which has served to recover the sensations again over the motorcycle. Very happy and we will get to the Qatar test happy. We must continue along this line and gain confidence and speed."
Héctor Garzó, 24º, 1:41.793 (+1.467)
"Three days of a lot of work in Jerez. The conclusion we draw is positive, although we have not marked the time we wanted. I am happy with the work done together with the team, understanding the motorcycle, testing the race tire. It is only the fourth day on top of the Kalex but I am prepared to face the next test in Qatar. I am still working ahead but I am happy. Thanks to the team for their help and work."
